This report examines key issues related to electricity
access in Africa, through the lens of selected case
studies of countries that have successfully managed
to increase access significantly in a short period of
time, backed up with more general regional analysis.
On the basis of this overview and analysis, the report
makes a number of recommendations on priorities
and necessary actions by countries and the donor
community as to how the electricity access challenges
may be addressed.
