The UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre is organizing a series of webinars to build technical capacity for navigating Article 6 in key industrial sectors within Pakistan. These webinars and accompanying materials are designed to support sector-specific discussions on international carbon markets, focusing on national policies, project screening, financing, implementation, and best practices.

This episode looks at the concept of the bioeconomy and its potential to contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation. It examines the progress being made in scaling up the availability and use of these technologies, highlighting both global trends and region-specific developments. 
Biobased technologies include processes, products and systems derived from renewable biological resources such as biomass, agricultural residues and algae that can be sustainably replenished over time. 

GACMO Tool

Calculating current and future greenhouse gas emissions is a prerequisite for countries to inform political decisions concerning climate action. It is also the foundation for transparent and credible climate action at national and global levels.
The GACMO (Greenhouse Gas Abatement Cost Model) is a greenhouse gas emissions projections tool developed over more than twenty years by the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre.
