Article 6 enables countries to cooperate on emissions reductions through carbon markets, offering a pathway to increased ambition and sustainable development. However, realising its potential requires strong national capacity and innovative thinking—particularly from the next generation of climate professionals.
Through the Research Mentorship Programme, selected students will receive expert guidance to integrate Article 6 into their research, develop policy-relevant outputs, and present their findings at national and international events. Participants will also be eligible for a fully funded six-month internship to apply their knowledge in a professional setting.
