Ksenia Petrichenko is a Senior Advisor at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency (C2E2). Ksenia provides analytical support to Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative through: research on energy efficiency and renewable best-practices, provision of technical support to targeted countries, analysis of technological pathways till 2030 and collaboration with various organisations on accelerating energy efficiency actions with a particular focus on Building Efficiency Accelerator. Prior to joining C2E2 Ksenia worked in different expert roles with Global Performance Network (GBPN), Central European University and Eco Ltd. on international projects mainly focused on energy efficiency potential and policies in the building sector. She has a PhD degree in Environmental Sciences from Central European University, as well as MSc in Environmental Sciences and MA in Economics in the Energy Sector.

Bio

Shannon Hilsey is Project Coordinator for the Building Efficiency Initiative at World Resources Institute, within the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. Ms. Hilsey provides support for the SE4ALL Building Efficiency Accelerator (BEA) and other building efficiency projects. Prior to joining WRI, Ms. Hilsey worked as International Economic Relations Program Coordinator at the American University School of International Service. She holds an M.A. in International Affairs from American University, as well as a B.A. in Government from Cornell University.

Bio

Alex is a Research Analyst with the Global Climate Program and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. He supports drafting and coordination for WRI’s Global Protocol for Community-scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GPC), and contributes to the development of standards, methodology, and guidance for preparing accurate and actionable city-level greenhouse gas inventories. Prior to joining WRI, Alex worked for a government relation firm and conducted legislative research on wildlife conservation, clean energy, and public lands issues.

Bio

Mike Steinhoff leads ICLEI-USA’s standards and software development as Director for Tools and Technical Innovation, shaping city-scale emissions accounting and climate action planning practices for over seven years at ICLEI. Mike lead multiple technical advisory committees in the development of the US Community Protocol, participated in the development of the Global Protocol for Community Emissions Inventories (GPC) as a Steering Committee Member, continues to serve as a Steering and Technical Advisory Committee Member for the STAR Community Index, and as a member of the EPA Sustainable and Healthy Communities Program Board of Scientific Counselors. Mike translates first-hand knowledge of protocols to the development of software tools to support those processes and extend the capabilities of practitioners in local government, most notably through the ClearPath suite of tools. Mike holds dual Masters in Environmental Science and Public Affairs from Indiana University, a BS in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Tennessee and is among the first cohort of individuals to earn the World Bank City Climate Planner Certification.

Erick Shambarger is the Director of Environmental Sustainability for the City of Milwaukee, where he leads the Environmental Collaboration Office (ECO). The Environmental Collaboration Office was formerly known as the Office of Environmental Sustainability. ECO was created by Mayor Tom Barrett to develop practical solutions that benefit Milwaukee’s environment and economy. Mr. Shambarger oversees implementation of the Refresh Milwaukee sustainability plan and coordinates Milwaukee's involvement with local, national and global partnerships on environmental sustainability. He oversees all of ECO's programs, including the Milwaukee Energy Efficiency (Me2) program, the Milwaukee Better Buildings Challenge, ME3 Sustainable Manufacturing Program, the HOME GR/OWN program and green infrastructure work. He contributed to the Energy Chapter of the City’s ReFresh Milwaukee sustainability plan and manages the City’s PACE financing program. Prior to his current role, he served as City Economist in the City’s Budget and Management Division.

Bio

Rose manages the City of Milwaukee’s energy efficiency programs, including the Milwaukee Energy Efficiency (Me2) program for homeowners, the PACE financing program for businesses, and the Better Buildings Challenge. Rose received her undergraduate degree in International Relations with a concentration in Environment and Development from Boston University and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan. Prior to joining ECO, Rose worked for the City of Ann Arbor on improving energy efficiency in rental housing and on connecting communities working on sustainability across the state of Michigan through the Michigan Green Communities program.
