Bio

Aristeidis Tsakiris is a Mechanical Engineer with over ten years of experience driving energy efficiency initiatives globally. With an MSc in Sustainable Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), he combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of policy and digital systems to support sustainable development in emerging and developing economies.

At the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEP-CCC), he leads the development of Monitoring & Evaluation systems, digital dashboards, and web-based Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). His work enhances data-driven decision-making and supports the dissemination of best practices through webinars, podcasts, and e-learning platforms, while also contributing to project development, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Previously, Aristeidis held key roles at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency (C2E2), where he managed digital tools, coordinated over 100 webinars, and supported international workshops and publications. His early career in research and consultancy focused on energy-efficient buildings and transport, laying a strong foundation for his current impact in global energy transition efforts.

Bio

Eric Mackres is the Building Efficiency Manager with the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. He supports the Building Efficiency Initiative through program development, project management, and research. He manages global projects and partnerships with key cities, including in Mexico, China and India. Prior joining WRI Eric worked at the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). He holds a Master of City Planning and Environmental Planning Certificate from the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning and a B.A. in Political Science, Public Policy, and Environmental Studies from Albion College.

Bio

Carley is a Research Analyst with the Global Climate Program. She supports cities in tracking and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through publication development, e-learning, and application of the GHG Protocol for Cities (GPC). Carley also works with the Building Efficiency Accelerator to conduct emissions assessments of policies and projects and draft publications.

Bio

Alex is a Research Analyst with the Global Climate Program and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. He supports drafting and coordination for WRI’s Global Protocol for Community-scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GPC), and contributes to the development of standards, methodology, and guidance for preparing accurate and actionable city-level greenhouse gas inventories. Prior to joining WRI, Alex worked for a government relation firm and conducted legislative research on wildlife conservation, clean energy, and public lands issues.

Bio

Chang focuses on greenhouse gas emissions management, standards and tools. A certified greenhouse gas (GHG) auditor, Chang has first-hand experience in GHG emission accounting and project development in Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI). She is now dedicated in transferring experience and knowledge in Low Emission Development to the urban level. Chang is actively involved in the further development of the Global Protocol for community-scale GHG Emissions (GPC) and outlining a Measurable, Reportable, Verifiable (MRV) process for local climate action.
