Ksenia Petrichenko is a Senior Advisor at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency (C2E2). Ksenia provides analytical support to Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative through: research on energy efficiency and renewable best-practices, provision of technical support to targeted countries, analysis of technological pathways till 2030 and collaboration with various organisations on accelerating energy efficiency actions with a particular focus on Building Efficiency Accelerator. Prior to joining C2E2 Ksenia worked in different expert roles with Global Performance Network (GBPN), Central European University and Eco Ltd. on international projects mainly focused on energy efficiency potential and policies in the building sector. She has a PhD degree in Environmental Sciences from Central European University, as well as MSc in Environmental Sciences and MA in Economics in the Energy Sector.

Bio

Curt Garrigan is currently the Cities and Buildings Programme Manager for the United Nations Environment Programme- Division of Technology, Industry and Economics in Paris, France, and has served as coordinator of the Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI). He also coordinates UNEP’s efforts to assist countries in developing Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) for the building sector. He is active in promoting sustainable buildings programmes with member states, NGOs and other international agencies, including for COP21 in Paris in December 2015, where he helped to launch the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction was launched.

Bio

Kedibone is currently working at the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality as the Deputy Director for Resource Mobilisation and Financing, in the Office of the Executive Mayor, City Sustainability Unit. Additional to her responsibilities she is responsible for the Green Building Portfolio within the City Sustainability Unit, advocating for green buildings development programme. Kedibone previously worked for the Development Bank of South Africa, National Empowerment Fund, Export Credit Insurance Corporation as a Credit Risk Analyst, responsible for risk identification and credit assessment for developmental infrastructure finance projects. She has a Master Degree in Development Finance from University of Stellenbosch, Post-graduate Degree in Sustainable Development from Sustainability Institute, University of Stellenbosch, BTECH Degree in Credit Management and Financial Management from Tshwane University of Technology, Advanced Certificate programme in Investments and Portfolio Management from University of South Africa.

Bio

Olatz Nicolas is Diploma in Architecture by the Bartlett School. University College London (U.K.), Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture by the North Carolina State University, School of Design (U.S.A.) and Diploma in Urban Planning Law by the Basque school of Territorial and Urbanistic studies (EVETU). She worked as an architect collaborator in the development of buildings, and planning projects for 10 years before she joined, in 2006, the Sustainable Construction Division of Tecnalia, in the area of Rehabilitation and Integrated Urban Regeneration. As a researcher during this period she has taken part in international projects, UNDP and EU-funded projects related to energy both at building as well as urban level and has an extensive experience in retrofitting construction projects. Olatz participated as coordinator and technical expert in the PAPIRUS project (Public Administration Procurement Innovation to Reach Ultimate Sustainability), one of the pilot project in the area of Public Procurement of Innovation co-financed by the European Commission within the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Framework Programme. From this experience Olatz has given many lectures related to Public Procurement of Innovation and works with different administration as a consultant with on implementing PPI in the construction sector.

Bio

Riana is responsible for providing support to ICLEI’s membership network. Riana leads ICLEI’s renewable energy program, providing support to local governments on 100% renewable energy and the Solar Marketplace. Riana previously managed the technical assistance program for the Solar Outreach Partnership, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy SunShot Initiative. Through this program, Riana helped cities and counties remove barriers in local markets and increase installed solar capacity. Riana previously worked at the Solar Energy Industries Association where she established partnerships and alliances with external organizations to advance the solar industry and managed relationships with the SEIA member law and accounting firms. Riana holds a BA from the University of North Carolina, Asheville in Philosophy and Political Science
