Bio

Aristeidis Tsakiris is a Mechanical Engineer with over ten years of experience driving energy efficiency initiatives globally. With an MSc in Sustainable Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), he combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of policy and digital systems to support sustainable development in emerging and developing economies.

At the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEP-CCC), he leads the development of Monitoring & Evaluation systems, digital dashboards, and web-based Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). His work enhances data-driven decision-making and supports the dissemination of best practices through webinars, podcasts, and e-learning platforms, while also contributing to project development, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Previously, Aristeidis held key roles at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency (C2E2), where he managed digital tools, coordinated over 100 webinars, and supported international workshops and publications. His early career in research and consultancy focused on energy-efficient buildings and transport, laying a strong foundation for his current impact in global energy transition efforts.

Bio

Tracy Evans is a Program Director in the Science and Technologies Division at Energetics Incorporated. She provides strategic, communications, and project management support to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advance Manufacturing Office for Superior Energy Performance and the Office of International Affairs as Secretariat for the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Energy Management Working Group (EMWG). She focuses on program development addressing energy management, industrial energy efficiency, corporate sustainability and environmental conservation. Tracy holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland and served as volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps in Guatemala.

Bio

Nancy Gonzalez is an Energy Analyst in the Science and Technology Division at Energetics Incorporated. She provides program design, implementation and project management support to various clients, including the U.S. Department of Energy. She has more than seven years of experience in strategic planning, research, communications and analysis of energy and environmental issues. Her work primarily focuses on energy management across the commercial and industrial sectors, federal energy policy and climate change. She is a graduate of Boston University with a B.A. in Environmental Science and an M.A. in Energy and Environmental Analysis.

Bio

Andrew Cooper is an Energy Specialist at New Gold’s New Afton Mine in BC, Canada. His past experiences include Engineering Manager, Electrical Engineer, Consulting Engineer and Maintenance Planning & Controls Manager. In September 2015, at the World Energy Engineering Congress, Andrew was honoured to receive AEE’s International Award as Energy Manager of the Year. He is passionate about minimizing waste, maximizing efficiency and optimizing the use of the resources available to us. He spearheaded the implementation of ISO 50001 at New Gold’s New Afton Mine. As a result, New Afton became the first mine in North America to achieve ISO 50001 certification. Andrew is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng / Pr. Eng), a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and a Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
