Efficient and Climate-friendly Cooling: the Kigali Amendment

This assessment is part of a UN Environment Project “Global High-Level Leadership, Advocacy, and Communication” funded by the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (K-CEP), a philanthropic program to support the implementation of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. The Kigali Amendment focuses on phasing down the production and consumption of HFCs, strong greenhouse gases widely used as refrigerant in air conditioners and refrigerators. The Global Scientific Assessment will assess the existing knowledge on implementing the Kigali Amendment and enhanced cooling efficiency.
