Bio

Aristeidis Tsakiris is a Mechanical Engineer with over ten years of experience driving energy efficiency initiatives globally. With an MSc in Sustainable Energy from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), he combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of policy and digital systems to support sustainable development in emerging and developing economies.

At the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre (UNEP-CCC), he leads the development of Monitoring & Evaluation systems, digital dashboards, and web-based Knowledge Management Systems (KMS). His work enhances data-driven decision-making and supports the dissemination of best practices through webinars, podcasts, and e-learning platforms, while also contributing to project development, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Previously, Aristeidis held key roles at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency (C2E2), where he managed digital tools, coordinated over 100 webinars, and supported international workshops and publications. His early career in research and consultancy focused on energy-efficient buildings and transport, laying a strong foundation for his current impact in global energy transition efforts.

Bio

Eng Ashraf Kraidy serves as a Planning Director at the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) since 2016. Among others, he has worked at the League of Arab States and the Ministry of Electricity in Syria. He is a co-author of the Arab Energy Efficiency Guideline and the template for National Energy Efficiency Action Plans. He has further been driving the regional policy framework in the Arab region through direct contributions in the Pan-Arab Sustainable Energy Strategy, Pan-Arab RE Strategy, Arab RE Framework, and the Arab EE Guideline.

Bio

Abdelhamid Khalfallah is an industrial Engineer and International expert in energy. He holds a master degree in in Industrial Engineering from the National Engineering School of Tunis and has a technical, economical and managerial background. Specialized in energy statistics, development of politics, strategies, regulatory frameworks and National Action Plans in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy fields (EE&RE).

Bio

Rawad Rizk is a sustainable energy specialist currently working at RCREEE. In addition to authoring the Arab Future Energy Index - Energy Efficiency 2017, he is involved in various RE & EE projects in the region. Mr. Rizk completed a master’s degree in Clean Technology from Newcastle University in 2015. Through the degree he gained unique knowledge and skills in the different management and technical solutions and requirements for consideration to environmental, social and economic factors.
