Tim Farrell is a Senior Advisor at the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency contributing to SE4All's ambitious target of doubling energy efficiency improvement by 2030 by providing strategic and analytical support to countries, developing a knowledge management system and supporting global collaborations. Since November 2014, Tim has chaired United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE’s) Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency. Prior to joining the Copenhagen Centre, Tim was implementing energy efficiency policies and programs in Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Bio

Debbie Weyl is the Manager, Building Efficiency with the WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. She manages the Building Efficiency Accelerator, a global partnership to accelerate building energy efficiency in cities around the world. Prior to WRI, Debbie worked for 5 years at CLASP to improve globally the environmental and energy performance of appliances, lighting and equipment, and for 2 years at the U.S. Department of Energy on energy efficiency programs in the United States.

Curt Garrigan is currently the Cities and Buildings Programme Manager for the United Nations Environment Programme- Division of Technology, Industry and Economics in Paris, France, and has served as coordinator of the Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (UNEP-SBCI). He also coordinates UNEP’s efforts to assist countries in developing Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) for the building sector. He is active in promoting sustainable buildings programmes with member states, NGOs and other international agencies, including for COP21 in Paris in December 2015, where he helped to launch the Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction was launched.

Bio

Bruno heads up the Carbon Trust’s involvement in the Low Carbon Workplace, a low-carbon property development partnership between the Carbon Trust, asset manager Columbia Threadneedle and developer Stanhope. The partnership acquires commercial office buildings and refurbishes them into modern, energy-efficient workplaces. Tenants receive ongoing support from the Carbon Trust, helping them to minimise their energy costs and carbon emissions. Bruno also co-leads the Carbon Trust’s work on sustainable cities. In his previous role as Director of Energy Efficiency Ventures, Bruno oversaw the Carbon Trust’s commercial energy efficiency and implementation activities, including the Energy Efficiency Financing partnership with Siemens Financial Services and the Carbon Trust Green Business Directory for accredited equipment suppliers. Before joining the Carbon Trust, Bruno worked as a strategy consultant for McKinsey and held various commercial, strategic and operational roles with Barclays and ExxonMobil. He holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.

Pekka coordinates the global 10YFP Sustainable Buildings and Construction Programme that Ministry of the Environment, Finland leads and RMIT University from Australia, UNEP and WGBC support as Co-Leads. Before this position I acted e.g. as a Key Account Manager and Principal Scientist for VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland developing EcoCity concept for emerging economies and developing countries and prepared such projects successfully in Egypt, Zambia, Tanzania, Libya and Morocco and before those contributed to similar projects in China, Kenya, Malaysia and Vietnam. Pekka has also served over ten years as a Visiting Professor for Sustainable Built Environment research at University of Salford in the UK.

Pekka has practical experience from building design and construction in Europe and in developing countries. During the past 20 years Pekka has actively contributed to leading international, research covering the areas of procurement systems, performance management, resource efficiency and the use of core indicators. Pella has an extensive international network covering different stakeholders in the real estate and construction sector. Maira Macedo is an Architect and Urbanist, Coordinator of Institutional and Government Relations in Green Building Council Brazil. Master in Architecture and Sustainability by the Polytechnic Foundation of Catalonia, UPC (Barcelona) completed in 2008 and MBA in Real State Business by Escola de Propaganda e Marketing, ESPM (São Paulo) completed in 2013. Experience in solar energy and sustainable architecture, real estate development, project management and approval, monitoring and implementation of process and production control, product development and management of designers.
