Article 6 of the Paris Agreement provides a framework for countries to cooperate in the implementation of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through international carbon markets: The Article 6.2 cooperative approaches and the Article 6.4 Paris Agreement Crediting Mechanism (PACM).
The new UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre Article 6 Pipeline provides open data and analysis made available in a web-based, user-friendly format. The pipeline tracks implementation of Article 6 activities globally, nationally and locally. It builds on UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre’s long-standing experience with the CDM Pipeline, tracking mitigation activities globally, now transitioned to tracking of Article 6 activities.
The Pipeline serves as a UN global knowledge-hub, building on authoritative data from the UNFCCC secretariat, complemented by other science-based data. The purpose is to facilitate knowledge sharing, transparency and capacity building, supporting the implementation of Article 6 cooperation, promoting sustainable development, ensuring environmental integrity and enabling higher ambition in Parties climate actions.
We are pleased to announce that the upcoming webinar will be available in two time slots:
- 10:00 CET or
