The objective of this project is to ensure a low carbon economy development pathway for Mauritius by establishing the national capacity for formulating, prioritizing mitigation actions to implement Mauritius’ Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) for all mitigation sectors and further develop the local capacity to design and implement mitigation actions relevant for the energy sector.

UNEP DTU Partnership in cooperation with UNFCCC Secretariat aims to address the needs of developing countries in mitigation and adaptation technologies to meet desired levels of reduced greenhouse gas emissions and to reduce vulnerability to climate change.

The CTCN is the operational arm of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)’s Technology Mechanism.
