The project aimed at enhancing expertise to generate carbon credits in land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) as well as bioenergy activities in Sub-Saharan African countries. In collaboration with UN Environment’s Division of Environmental Policy Implementation (DEPI), UNEP DTU has provided implementation support to twelve Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and two Adaptation Fund (AF) adaptation projects in Cambodia, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Lesotho, Madagascar, Rwanda and Tanzania, totalling more than $50 million in funding.
