The project aimed at enhancing expertise to generate carbon credits in land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) as well as bioenergy activities in Sub-Saharan African countries. Implementation of Adaptation projects with UN Environment Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF)/Adaptation Fund (AF)

In collaboration with UN Environment’s Division of Environmental Policy Implementation (DEPI), UNEP DTU has provided implementation support to twelve Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and two Adaptation Fund (AF) adaptation projects in Cambodia, Comoros, Djibouti, Gambia, Lesotho, Madagascar, Rwanda and Tanzania, totalling more than $50 million in funding. The projects covered a wide range of adaptation issues, including implementation Ecosystem Based Adaptation, Integrated Coastal Zone Management, Agriculture, and Water Management.

Development of Climate-Smart Agriculture projects in Kenya

Implemented by a consortium comprising UNEP DTU Partnership and Eco Ltd as consultants of NETFUND (Kenya), this project aims at developing detailed project ideas in the area of Climate-Smart Agriculture that will advance Kenya’s transition towards a green economy.
